Jardín Prostético Jardín Prostético [Prosthetic Garden] is a work created specifically for the exhibition Biotopias 2, in Doramas Park. The work consists of a series of sculptures and plant sensors. These sensors are connected into the plants to measure the electrical oscillations that are produced in these vegetable organisms, and allow the public to perceive their biochemical reactions to the presence of humans, other living beings, and the environment that surrounds them.

All the information collected by the sensors is processed and translated into movements and sounds, that allow the public to perceive the plants through the different objects placed on the park, building a complex and interspecies system, which favors communication between humans and plants, thus reaching a better understanding of the plant language, and therefore of nature, unreachable without the help of robotic systems. This system of sensors translates and transmits precisely those signals that humans, due to our limited perceptive system, cannot otherwise receive.

Click on the red dots in the image above. Each point corresponds to a subjective 360-degree view of the work.

Click on the image and drag the mouse from right to left or from top to bottom to interact with the video and discover the sculptures that are part of the Prosthetic Garden.

You will be able to hear the sound of our garden, the result of the measurements we take of the electrical activity of the connected plants, sensitive to everything that happens in their surroundings.
